Nichkhun to Star in Thai Film

2PM’s Nichkhun will be taking on an acting role in his home country, Thailand.A rep from his agency JYP Entertainment stated on January 16, “Nichkhun has been participating in the 7th anniversary film project by GTH, Thailand’s largest film production company, and has been shooting a film in Thailand since early January. Because it’s his first acting feat, he, his agency and local officials are looking forward to [the film] very much.”

GTH previously produced the films Phobia 2, Hello Stranger and Bangkok Traffic Love Story.To celebrate its 7th anniversary, GTH will be producing an omnibus film featuring three renowned film directors. Nichkhun will be starring in one of the episodes in the omnibus.The rep from JYP Entertainment said, “It’s Nichkhun’s first feat as an actor, but he’s being praised by his seniors because he’s been showing a great passion.”Nichkhun stated through his agency, “Because I always dreamed of becoming an actor, I’m trying to do my best in my first acting role. I always want to take on more with each shoot. I’m feeling that it’s very different from standing in front of a camera as a singer, and so I’m working even harder.
